How to Use Android Phone as Wireless Mouse on PC (Windows / Mac / Ubuntu) using Telepad ~ Android Game Blog

Using a PC without a mouse is like eating noodle without a fork. Even for me who work using Windows PC tablet that designed for touch, it still take longer time to finish a work because I often accidentally touch the wrong part of the screen. Don't need to buy a mouse, if you have an Android phone you can use it as a wireless mouse on your tablet / laptop / desktop PC. One of the program or app that could do it is Telepad.

Telepad is a very useful free program that allow us to use our Android device as a wireless controller that could serve as a mouse (touchpad), a keyboard, and even a multimedia player like Powerpoint & video on our Windows / Mac OSX / Ubuntu PC.

There is 2 method to connect our Android device to Windows PC so it can serve as a controller, it is via Bluetooth connection or by connect the Android device via the Wi-Fi network. Personally I often use the Bluetooth connection as it very simple to connect the device and the connection is always stable / responsive.

To use Telepad, we need the Telepad program installed on the PC and also the one installed on the Android device (android app). Don't forget to enable the Telepad on your Firewall setting so it can work normally without any issues.

How to use Android device as wireless mouse, keyboard, or controller on PC using Telepad

First, install the Telepad app on your PC. Download it on Telepad official website. There's also a mirror link at the end of this post
Install Telepad app on your Android device. Download and install it on Playstore. There's also mirror link the end of this post.
Run the Telepad app on your Android. When the first time you run it, you can select between WIFI or Bluetooth mode. For example here I choose Bluetooth to connect my Samsung Galaxy V Android phone to Advan Vanbook Windows tablet PC.
Now turn Bluetooth on the PC. Run Telepad app on PC, it may won't open directly and just minimized to notification area. On desktop home screen (minimize / close other running programs), If your PC has touchscreen, long press the Telepad icon to access Telepad menu then choose 'Open'. Or by using keyboard, press on [Tab] key two or three times until the selector entering notification area, move by arrow keys to Telepad icon and press [Shift] + [F10] to open Telepad menu then choose 'Open'. 'Start' the Telepad.
Now the Telepad window are opened we can choose the connection mode. Here I am choosing 'Bluetooth'.
Back to the Telepad Android app, tap on 'Discovering Devices' to refresh the device list. Then choose your PC Bluetooth. If connection successful, there should be a 'Connection established' message on the app / program.

Done! Now you are ready to use your Android device as mouse or keyboard on your PC. There are more functions that can be unlocked through Telepad Android app in-app purchase.

How to solve invisible mouse pointer

The mouse function working but you see no pointer? Then follow this steps below (The steps example are on Windows 8.1):

Enter the 'Control Panel' -> 'Ease of Access' -> 'Ease of Access Center' -> 'Make the mouse easier to use'.
Then enable / tick the 'Turn on Mouse keys' option. Don't forget to click 'OK'.
Now the pointer is appeared! At least that was how I did it on my Advan Vanbook W80 tablet running Windows 8.1.
